Oh, hello there! I know I've been missing for several days around here, (things were busy) but I've returned. Today just so happens to be my birthday, so I've decided to celebrate with a giveaway for you guys! Hopefully this will distract me from officially being on the "wrong side" of 25. Hello, 26. Let's do this!
I went with a summery theme for you guys and picked 2 lightweight, shirting cottons.
One is a 2 yard length of red Robert Kaufman pima cotton with white
polka dots. The other is a little over 1 yard of cute, nautical printed
cotton. It's got a background of white and royal blue waves/stripes with
little red boats here and there. I've also included an adorable 1960s
top pattern. It's a size 38 bust, but is a basic enough shape that you
could easily size it up or down, I'd think. Here's a closer look at all 3 pieces.
I'll ship to anywhere in the world, so all participants are welcome. To enter, please leave a comment on this post by 11:59pm EST on Wednesday, July 24. If you want to say happy birthday, or tell me what the best birthday present you ever got was, that'd be ok, too, though the winner will still be randomly selected.
In the meantime, I'll be eating lots of good food, possibly watching some Gossip Girl, trying to chip away at my WIPs (which aren't really any further progressed than the last time I shared, oops), and reminding myself that I'm really supposed to be an adult now.
Good luck on the giveaway, and have a great weekend!

ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday! 26 will be a wonderful year for you :)
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday!! For my 21st I got to swim at the Great Barrier Reef. That was a pretty epic present. These days I get sewing patterns and gin which are just as appreciated. Thanks for the lovely giveaway

Happy Birthday!! My fav bday present was the 4 wheeler my husband got me around the time we got married.
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday! Best present? I was very delighted when I got my ears pierced for my 12th birthday, after years of begging! Love that polka dot fabric.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday!!
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday and thanks so much for the giveaway, so sweet of you :) I'm 26 now and I still don't feel like a grown up yet, haha!
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday, hope you're having a wonderful time!
ReplyDeleteI left 26 years behind me this year (last week, to be exact) and the best present I got was an overlock machine. My whole family chipped in and it's wonderful! My boyfriend also gives very considerate gifts: this year's was a beautiful picknick basket. :)
Happy Birthday! Mine is this month, too! Maybe I should do a little giveaway like this? Please include me in yours :) My best bday gifts: my sewing machine some years back from my hubby and then my serger, also from my husband (he is the best!) He asked me what I wanted last year and I said gifts for my 1 1/2 year old son... so he got a handful of toys for him to open, it was so sweet and adorable... really nothing beats those gifts!
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday! I have one coming up in a few days too, July birthdays are the best!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday! Welcome to twenty six! It is SO MUCH DIFFERENT than twenty five. No, not really. In fact, when I get carded and asked how old I am, I still want to say twenty four. Oops. I guess your memory is the first thing to go......
ReplyDeleteCan't think of my best birthday present... but most recent (last year) was a sewing machine and a gift card to a fabric store. Huzzah!
Anywho, enjoy your day!
Happy 26th Birthday. I have had so many birthdays that I can now claim I am "Vintage"! Life as just begun for you, live everyday to it's fullest.
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday! Sorry I'm a bit late.
ReplyDeleteI can't think what my best present was, so I'll tell you instead that my best birthday was spent on a boat travelling between Split and Dubrovnik in Croatia, going in between all the little islands off the coast. Gorgeous!
Happy Birthday Sue, Gorgeous pattern and I like your fabric choice.
ReplyDeleteA very Happy Birthday to you. I also celebrated my birthday this week (the very wrong side of 25... both my numbers changed!) And so my best present (because I'm too old now to remember previous birthday presents!) was the overlocker I received this year.
ReplyDeleteGenerous giveaway by the way, please count me in. I'm also hosting a birthday giveaway (ends this Sunday).
Happy birthday sweetie! Thanks so much for the giveaway! as for my for my favorite present, it would be litterally anything sewing-related ;)
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday! Thank you for making the giveaway international, too! Very generous of you and the best way to start this new, mature age *wink*. Please add my name.
ReplyDeleteTrue story: I went to Mexico for training back in 2008 and this *cough*reallycute*cough* guy was a bit depressed over his "milestone" birthday so I asked him his age: 24. I yelled out "WHAAAT?!?" loudly in the middle of the hall, people turned around to look. LOL, I was 30 back then...and the geriatric of the group I was standing with. I don't know who was more shocked, them or me, by our respective ages. Chère, age is nothing but a number. Now go make yourself a birthday outfit, it's one of the best traditions out there, trust me!
happy birthday! you young thing! my best ever present was my daughter (4 days late, but i think she still counts!)
ReplyDeleteOoh thats so nice :)
DeleteHappy birthday! Welcome to the good side of your twenties! (I remember those days well, ah, youth!) Thank you for having a giveaway to celebrate.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday, Sue!! Don't fret about getting older now, wait until your in your 40's and then freak out! Like me.
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday. You are so "ancinet" now. (HA!) Please enter me in your giveaway on behalf of my daughter (she's just your ag and just the pattern's size. She even looks like the brunette drawing for version 3 on the pattern envelope.) I've been trying to teach her to sew for some time. She says yes but....the sewing amchine I gave her as a gift some time back is still in its box. perhaps she'll be peer-inspired by you. I hope you are still celebrating.
ReplyDeletePS: tried to post this earlier but it vanished into the E-void so here is a second try.
Happy cake day! Best present ever? I got married for my 30th- that was pretty epic :D
ReplyDeleteThats a wonderful birthday! :)
DeleteThanks for a lovely giveaway - and happy, happy birthday. My best birthday present is still my Elna for my 16th birthday nearly 20 years ago. My Mum has always felt a little embarrassed that she gave me a second hand 16th present - but it's still going great and I love it!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday! 26 is a fab age, enjoy! I know it sounds cheesy but my favourite gifts are the cards that my daughters make. Those and a large bottle of gin and I'm happy :)
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday! 26 didn't make me feel nearly as bad as 30 did. 31 doesn't sound too bad, so we'll see how I feel when it rolls around next year. Hope you had a great birthday filled with cake, friends, and well wishes!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday!
ReplyDeleteI'm having my 25th later this year, I'm already freaking out about getting closer to 30! Mostly because everyone I know has kids...and I have two cats and a dog lol. I think a great thing to do each birthday is recount everything you have achieved in the past year, and how much more awesome sewing seems to get!!!
Hope you have a wonderfull time, and sew on! :)
happy birthday, Sue! Have another great year!
ReplyDeleteHap-pea bird-ee :-) hope you have a wonderful birthday.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely top for summer
Happy birthday! I am also a July birthday and this year a bunch of friends and I made a movie. It was super fun! I can't stop thinking about that wavy fabric!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday! Listen: the twenties are aight. The 30s... the 30s are amazaballs. You're just one step closer to amazaballs.
ReplyDeleteThis year my aunt gifted me a sewing machine. Mine broke and I don't have the cash to fix it so my darling, adorable aunt sent me a brand new one.
